Thursday evening we went out to dinner downtown and Chelsey was uncomfortable when we got there around 7:00 pm. By the end of dinner hours later she was still uncomfortable and by midnight she was having little contractions every hour. She kept waking up every hour with these little pains. By morning they have become faster, say once every five minutes. We got real excited. The contractions were pretty weak but she took a shower and then we pulled together some things for the hospital bag.
Then we waited. Around 8:00 am I called in work and told them I wasn't coming in. Then things slowed down. At this point it is Saturday lunch time. The contractions are much more severe but they are not on a schedule. Sometimes they are 5 minutes apart and sometimes they are 35 minutes apart. It is really frustrating. Chelsey's parents came into town last night and we're all just sitting around waiting for something to happen. Nothing is happening. The baby just isn't cooperating. This has been going on for 36 hours and it isn't moving along on track yet. Last night it looked good. Contractions were strong and 10 minutes apart real regularly and that continued all night. Chelsey got very little sleep. By dawn everything was all out of sync again and we're just waiting for things to pick up.
Since my dad was supposed to do the color commentary for the gophers today they announced on WCCO that Chelsey was having a baby. I think that just made her stress out more because now she knows there are all these people expecting her to do something she has no control over.
For now, we wait and wait and wait and wait . . . . . . .

that sucks! But, hey, it will happen when the little one wants it to!
Good luck and may it be how you want it to be!

It's a race to the finish. Anna's getting induced on 11/19, so if baby Maximilien François Marie Odenthalius Isidore de Robespierre is going to come first... ;)
Good luck with everything. Hope you have a nice, by-the-textbook birth. :)
YAY CAMDEN!!! Welcome to the world, little person. I can't wait to hear all about how it went!
Congratulations! We are glad to hear that the baby is here safely and is now well named. Katie is more excited about seeing the new Mona than seeing her parents-possibly a second message as I had to sign up before being able to send message. Take care. Rest up. Enjoy yourselves! Nancy and John
